Yesterday, actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun were selected to model the Chinese Hung Dao Group's mineral water. Jun Ji Hyun filmed her part of the commercial in China, and Kim Soo Hyun filmed in Korea. What became the issue is how the origin of water was marked on the water bottle. In Korea, Baekdu Mountain refers to the mountain in North Korea. In China, the same mountain is called Changbai Mountain. It spurred great controversy in Korea whether Korean stars should film a commercial that promotes the Chinese word for Baekdu Mountain. After a day of great controversy, actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun requested to cancel running of the commercial in China. They apologized that it was their mistake that they did not check how the origin of water was marked.
