Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have always seemed to strive for that ordinary low-profile family life. And in keeping up with tradition, the two had a low-key wedding anniversary celebration over the weekend.
Jennifer did fly to Detroit to be with husband Ben, who is on scene filming the highly talked about Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Simple is key for these two as they shared a romantic dinner at Bistro 82-a French fusion restaurant located in the Royal Oak suburb. According to E!, the husband and wife purposely intended to remain under the radar.
For their nine-year wedding anniversary, the power couple came in the dine dining resto between 5 and 6 p.m. and cozied up for about an hour, said Justin Near of the bistro's AFB Hospitality Group, Near Perfect Media.
"Jen was wearing a black dress and Ben was in jeans with disheveled hair. They were walking slowly by and they seemed relaxed and in good spirits," said an eyewitness.
"They were walking very closely together. As they were walking out, Ben took a cigarette out and put it in his mouth and they walked out of the restaurant and he stopped and lit the cigarette. They then walked out together and headed down the street."
The super famous couple didn't want to attract any attention and was successful at this. "I had to do a double take because they were blended with the rest of the guests and they appeared like any normal couple."
Since these two got married, they were more often seen with family. In fact, People magazine reports that before flying off to Detroit to be with hubby, Jennifer spent a few days with her children in her hometown of Charleston, W. Va.
The family, including Samuel, Violet, Seraphina, their mama and grandparents, were all spotted at a minor league baseball game at Appalachian Power Park.
