Ed Sheeran dropped by Capital FM to sing a few songs from his new album, X. The British singer-composer even included a stripped down cover of 5 Seconds Of Summer's hit song "She Looks So Perfect," complete with the American Apparel underwear reference.

The exclusive performance also included a live rendition of his new songs, "Don't," "Sing," "I'm A Mess," "Photgraph," and "Thinking Out Loud."

The "Sing" star sang 5SOS' breakthrough hit in his signature style. He made the lyrics stand out more by stripping the song to an acoustic performance. Singing in falsetto, Sheeran turned the pop-punk song into a sweeter, more romantic love song.

The cover has garnered the attention of various fans, both his own and 5SOS'. MTV was "swooning all over the place." Sugarscape, on the other hand, liked the original's "pop-punk" feel but when they heard Sheeran's acoustic cover, they thought "the result was everything you could possibly imagine and so much more."

5SOS' Ashton Irwin praised the "Lego House" singer's version, calling out to Sheeran on Twitter.

"Loved what you did with SLSP man, so huge for us that you covered it, we are blown away, you are an absolute legend," The drummer tweeted "The A Team" singer last Monday.

"Heard your cover of SLSP, made my week. Stop making us look bad haha," lead vocalist Luke Hemmings tweeted Sheeran as well.

Australian pop rock band, 5 Seconds Of Summer, made headlines earlier this year with their breakthrough song, "She Looks So Perfect." The famous hook name dropped underwear brand, American Apparel, prompting the company to respond that they are "flattered anytime we're mentioned in someone's music or art" according to Fuse. Like the Austrialian rockers, the apparel also thought their underwear looked great on women.

In other news, the British sensation's new album, "X" ("multiply") has become the fastest selling album, according to The Guardian. The 23-year-old's recent album sold 182,000 units on it's first week of release, breaking Coldplay's record for the year. "X" sold 14,000 more than Coldplay's "Ghost Stories" which was released last May.
