Harry Styles not leaving One Direction despite breaking news of the star going solo.

Rumors that the One Direction star may be leaving the band for a solo career started after Steve Garrigan, Kodaline's frontman, claimed that he and Styles are working on a side project together, apart from the group.

"We had a bit of free time and so we went to the studio and wrote a song. It was good fun," Garrigan said. "It could be on his album if he does something, but I don't know. Nothing is set in stone."

A rep for the band, turned down rumors immediately. "There are no plans for Harry to release any solo music at this time, any writing that he is doing is for potential One Direction songs," the rep said. "It's common knowledge that the boys write separately and bring to each other for the album."

Meanwhile, the 20-year-old heart throb had taken a leap from his hotel balcony into Lake Como- for fun, of course! He was pictured taking the jump in Italy on Sunday, wearing his swimming shorts.

One Direction is smack dab in the middle of the European leg of their mammoth Where We Are concert tour. They have recently finished performances in the Netherlands and Milan.

It seems the tour is doing quite well and is gaining quite the excited fans. Niall Horan even had to take to Twitter recently to ask the fans to stop throwing stud at the stage, this after he got a little pain out of it. "Also guys! Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz somethin thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it!"

"Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it."

Harry also tweeted, "The show was so loud last night, thank you everyone who has kept supporting us so far.. You really are incredible. I love you a lot .x"
