Elizabeth Banks, who's directing "Pitch Perfect 2," uploaded a video of the movie's cast paying homage to the US' Fourth of July anniversary.
The video put up on the director's Facebook and Youtube pages features its two characters, Skylar Astin and Ben Platt, wearing what looks like The Treblemakers' uniform (maroon velvet blazers) singing an acapella version of "America The Beautiful." An American flag serves as the duo's background.
It ends with Platt wishing viewers a happy July 4th holiday.
Banks captioned the clip, "Happy (early) 4th of July from the set of Pitch Perfect 2!"
Banks directed and appeared in the first installment. She will make an appearance in the sequel as well.
The short clip also served as a teaser for what's to come on the surprise hit film's upcoming sequel, reminding everyone of the last film's harmonies and catchy mash-ups. The first "Pitch Perfect" earned $65 million after being released in September 2012.
The Treblemakers is an all-boy singing group that rivals the all-girl group the Barden Bellas. In the first film, both groups competed against each other, with the Bellas triumphantly getting the trophy thanks to Becca's (Anna Kendrick) musical innovation.
"Pitch Perfect 2" will welcome back the original cast, Astin, Platt, Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp. Newcomers Hailee Steinfeld and Katey Sagal will also grace the Pitch Perfect screen.
Meanwhile, "The Sing Off's" favorite acapella group, Pentatonix, will also be joining the "Pitch Perfect 2" cast as the Bella's new rival group. Made up of Scott Hoying, Avi Kaplan, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola, and Kirstie Maldonado, the group spent 12 hours on set in Louisiana completing their parts, while wearing "some pretty interesting things" according to Hoying.
"You can definitely tell it's the five of us, but what we're wearing and who we're portraying is definitely not Pentatonix," Grassi told EW, "You're going to love it."
Pitch Perfect 2 will hit theaters May 15, 2015.
