During this year's Computex, ASUStek unveiled the latest Transformer Pads, the TF103 and the TF303, where both models would run with Android 4.4 KitKat. Most recently, ASUS has just posted an official video teaser on their YouTube channel, including the previously unknown Transformer Pad TF303K, which is a variation of the previously announced TF303(CL) model that's possibly going to sell at a lower, more attractive cost.
The Transformer Pad TF303K is equipped with most of the features found on the TF303CL, including the elegant MagSmart hinge. The TF303K, however, is coated with a polycarbonate layer, and has a keyboard that seems to be made of aluminum alloy. The tablet will also sport a 10.1-inch screen with FHD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels).
One of the big difference between two models is that the TF303 uses an Intel Atom Bay Trail processors, whereas the TF303K runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 SoC. The chip is paired with 2GB of RAM, but there's no word yet from ASUS on how much internal memory will it have. Nevertheless, there are speculations that customers may be given the standard 16GB.
The list of features is completed by a dual-band Wi-Fi module (2.4 / 5GHz), Micracast streaming technology and Android 4.4 KitKat, along with ASUS' exclusive Zen UI plastered on top.
The hybrid PC will arrive pre-installed with ASUS software like the What's Next app that sets up reminders for the daily activities. Other apps include Do It Later, the Omplet chat program, and Share Link, which enables you to share content quickly.
What's not shown on the video is how much the new device will cost or when is it going to arrive the various markets. In the meantime, the ASUS Transformer Pad TF103 has already been made available for pre-order. The device sports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution but comes with an Intel Atom architecture.
