FIFA World Cup 2014 is now down to its Final Four: Argentina, Netherlands, Brazil, and Germany. The semi-finals will begin on Tuesday, 08 July 2014 at Estado Mineirao, Belo Horizonte. Opening match will be Brazil against Germany followed by Argentina versus Netherlands on Wednesday, 09 July 2014 at Arena de Sao Paulo.

These four soccer juggernauts make up the semi-final field in Brazil. Even without the presence of Neymar, these four teams are probably the greatest final fours in the history of World Cup. As Craig Foster posted on Twitter, "Looking ahead, whatever happens, Maracana Final will be historic." It is also a bit surprising that Spain was not able to make it through the last four teams standing given the fact that they came to World Cup as the reigning champions.

For Argentina, it has been an extremely powerful buffer for them given that they started strong in the tournament. It was, undeniably, Messi who carried the team's victory all throughout their matches.

"Neymar was our benchmark, one of our references because he is a player who makes a difference in any team. We're in a situation where we've lost something we don't want to miss, especially for the semi-final and final." Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari said in an interview regarding Neymar-Brazil's forward and poster boy-injury.

Germany, at this point of time, remains upbeat after their outstanding performance besting France in the quarter-final match last week. The predictions are in favor of Germany given the team's good shape for the semi-finals.

Taking the limelight from Spain, Netherlands needs to step up their game against Argentina on Wednesday. Predictions are in favor of Argentina; however, it will surely be a tough and narrow match.

Whatever the cards unfold, these four semi-finalists have only wan dream and that is to win the World Cup 2014.
