Just days away, the winner of legendary football tournament will be revealed. But, before the much-anticipated event arrives, let's recap the greatest World Cup knockout moments.

1. Scoring A Knockout Goal

Colombia swamped over Brazil in the quarterfinal. On the other hand, Brazil lost to Mexico in the group games. However, the former did not fail to maintain their popularity among fans. Colombia tapped their crowning glory when David Luiz hit a goal in the 68th minute against Colombia's James Rodriguez.

2. A Knockout From France

France almost lost it when Mathieu knockout goal was kicked off at the corner in the first half. France scored a 13th goal at the end of the freekick's end courtesy of Mats Hummels.

3. A Knockout Fail

Netherlands was not able to target 15 shots. Because of it, Bryan Ruiz and Michael Umana failed to lead their team to victory, in favour of a victory from France led by Tim Krul.

The quickest for Germany's five goals was set at 29 minutes. Miroslav Klose achieved a 16th tournament goal, making him the player with the highest goal score in the World Cup.
