Michael Schumacher update comes from "Schumi's" wife Corinna, and her statements regarding the Formula One legend's condition.
The 45-year old motorsports icon spent six months at the Grenoble Hospital in France following an accident he was involved in while skiing at the French Alps with his 14-year old son in December 2013. "Schumi" hit his head on a rock, which forced doctors to place him in a medically-induced coma.
But in early June, the situation turned better after Michael Schumacher awakened from the coma he was in for 170 days. He was then transferred from Grenoble Hospital, to a rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland, near his home.
Michael Schumacher update also reveals the statements from medical experts, most of them carrying a negative tone. The most recent one came from Swiss neurologist Dr. Erick Reiderer, in an interview with German news outlet 20 Minuten.
"He will forever remain an invalid [and] always remain dependent on the help of others," Dr. Reiderer said about the Michael Schumacher update.
Another medical expert, Dr. Tipu Aziz of Oxford University said that Michael Schumacher may live, but will not be able to function properly for the rest of his life.
"With rehabilitation, they'll try to train him to cope with the disabilities that he's got to achieve as much life function as possible," Dr. Aziz said about the Michael Schumacher update. "If he's had a brain injury, he may have weakness in his limbs secondary to loss of brain function."
However, Michael Schumacher's wife Corinna, who has been with the Formula One legend since Day 1, has given some positive news regarding her husband's condition.
"It's getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it's improving," Mrs. Schumacher told German women's magazine Neue Post.
It was also reported by another German publication Bild that Michael Schumacher was most responsive when hearing his wife's voice.
"The voice of Corinna has a much stronger effect on him than the voices of other people," the newspaper stated.
