The cast of "Glee" shared commemorative photos to remember their late co-star Cory Monteith, on his first death anniversary on Sunday, July 13, according to MTV.

Monteith's girlfriend at the time of his death, Lea Michele, shared a touching photo on Twitter and wrote, "We hold you in our hearts today, and every day we remember your smile. We will love you and miss you always."

"Glee's" co-creator, Ryan Murphy, shared a screenshot of the show's special episode, dedicated to Monteith, via Twitter. In the photo, the words "Cory Monteith 1982-2013 can be seen." Murphy captioned it and wrote, "Miss you."

Kevin McHale, who plays the role of Artie Abrams tweeted, "It's been 1 whole year & it's still so surreal, but today is just a reminder of how damn great you were and how much you mean to us all."

Amber Riley, who plays the character of Mercedes Jones tweeted, "I remember your smile and your warm hugs! One year without you and your presence is still felt. Miss and love you everyday big bro. Our angel."

Jenna Ushkowitz posted a photo on Instagram that featured Cory Monteith along with his cast mates, inside the famous McKinley High School choir room. She captioned the photo and wrote, "365 days you've been gone and not a day passes we don't remember your smiling face. We miss you buddy."

Meanwhile, Monteith's estranged father, Joe, mourned his son's first year death anniversary and reflected on what it's like being left behind.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Joe said, "I still miss him very much. I still have the empty feeling inside."

Joe admitted to not being allowed to join his son's viewing ceremony, as per his ex-wife and Cory's mother Ann McGregor's decision, according to the NY Daily News.

"I didn't get to go to his viewing. Which would have meant a lot. I guess they spayed his ashes in a cove that he really enjoyed going to."
