It's been 10 years since the hit teen comedy film Mean Girls, but its two female leads, Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams still manage to say nice things about each other, ironically.

In Allure magazine's August 2014 cover, McAdams addressed the rumors that the former Disney darling Lindsay Lohan was intimidated with her while they were filming the movie. But The Notebook actress found it funny, saying she was the one who was star struck.

"If anything, I was in awe of her talent," McAdams told the magazine. "I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing, so natural. It's just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we've got it together."

Mean Girl shot McAdams to stardom and now tides have turned as McAdams have been enjoying the spot in the limelight, after a string of successful movies including the memorable romance film The Notebook, where she starred with former love, Ryan Gosling.

But the actress still looks back to her humble beginnings, including her role in The Hot Chick, starring Rob Schneider. "I remember standing backstage, dressed like a mechanic. I had a pink bikini on underneath, grease on my face and I just remember breathing deep and thinking, 'Oh, my God, I have to go out there and do this striptease, as a man...as a woman. How did I get here?' It was probably one of the scariest moments I've had in my career. It stretched me in ways I could have never imagined. Literally."

For now, The Time Traveler's Wife star is looking forward to her still booming acting career. "I'm hoping it's going to be complicated and have lots of dead ends and corners and sharp turns. I hope it can't be summed up too easily when I'm done," she finishes.
