Henry Cavill girlfriend Gina Carano's return to MMA is being anticipated by a lot of fans. While the deal with Carano is not yet closed, UFC President Dana White told reporters in Dublin that the former "Strikeforce" champ will fight against Ronda Rousey for the women's bantamweight title, likely at UFC 181 in Las Vegas on Dec. 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

According to Cagewriter, White told reporters that the fight would be in December, but not on the UFC's annual New Year's Eve card. Reportedly, the Dec. 6 show at Mandalay Bay is the only pay-per-view the UFC has scheduled in December. This fight is expected to happen if Carano will sign the deal.

Rousey badly wants a match with Carano. Reportedly, Rousey got into MMA because of her and has expressed her admiration several times.

"The first women's MMA fight I ever saw was Gina Carano vs. Julie Kedzie," Rousey said of the well-known 2007 bout. "Not only did I admire what [Carano] was doing, but also I was blown away by the reaction all the guys were giving them, and, I just remember sitting there and thinking, 'I could totally beat both of these chicks.' Whether she ever wants to fight again or not is entirely up to her. But, ever since that day when I had that first taste of women's MMA, she's the fight I wanted."

Carano hasn't fought since August 2009 after a TKO loss from Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino. Reportedly, many fans and experts believe that if Carano will return to MMA, she should be given a "quick title shot" even she has not be in the fighting arena for five years.

"I think it would be the best thing for women's MMA. I think it would be the highest profile fight that could be done. I don't think it would make sense for her to come back and fight somebody else and take the risk of maybe losing and not being able to capitalize on the fight between me and her. I think it would make more sense to go straight to a title fight," Rousey said.
