"The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies" news for this Saturday's Comic Con: trailer, photos, and a new poster for "The Hobbit 3."

The latest in "The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies" news should feed the fan frenzy for this Saturday's Comic Con. New Line Cinema just released a new poster to tease attendees days ahead of the event.

The third installment to Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy is released this December, and the poster gives a sneak peek at how the story will play out. A new poster just came out, and it's headlined "The Defining Chapter."

Looks like Bard the Bowman (played by Luke Evans), plays a pivotal role in "The Hobbit 3." In the poster, the dragon Smaug looms over the village of Lake Town, and Bard the Bowman stands alone on a street facing him, ready for a fight.

Luke Evans tweeted a photo of the poster, with comment: "I'm the less angry one in this poster."

The producers have confirmed a new trailer debuts at Comic Con, tweeting an official invite for the fans.

A pair of photos were recently released (or leaked), showing Gandalf, Bard, and Legolas caught in an action scene, which were the latest in the "The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies" news until the official poster, released earlier.

"The Hobbit 3" concludes the adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's novel. The sequel, "The Desolation of Smaug," saw the dwarves unleashing the dragon onto the unaware inhabitants of nearby Lake Town, in a vain attempt to restrain it.

Luke Evans played a reasonable part in the second film. As Bard the Bowman, his questionable morals were revealed noble after he smuggles Bilbo Baggins and the dwarves into Lake Town.

Peter Jackson isn't skimping on production, filming at 48FPS 3D with the latest cameras. "The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies" news comes to a conclusion this December 17 (firstshowing.net).
