Frankie Grande, Ariana Grande's half-brother, was kept in the dark about grandfather's death while he's competing for the "Big Brother 16" reality show, which prompted the report that the "Right There" singer was just fulfilling a dying man's wish.
Zap2it.com reported that since his death, Ariana has been posting tweets about the sorrowful situation her family is going through. She openly expressed her gratitude to the public, especially her fans, for their continuous support for her in what she considers as one of the saddest moments in her life. She went on to explain that despite the pain of losing her grandpa, she remains thankful for the time she and her family spent with him.
The 22-year old singer/songwriter revealed, however, that Frankie Grande still doens't know about their grandpa's death because they had to keep temporarily the sad news a secret. According to the torontosun.com, her grandfather had requested it.
During his last days, Ariana Grande visited him and asked if he wanted them to pull out Frankie Grande from the BB house. "No" was his quick reply. According to him, he did not want Arianna Grande's half-brother to curtail his participation in the game although he could not understand how it works.
When the "Big Brother" producers broke the sad news to Arianna Grande's half-brother on July 23, the other BB contestants pulled together to express their sincere support and condolences, TMZ reported.
The producers relayed the news to Frankie by handing him a note from his family. Upon learning what happened, he immediately started crying and shared the information with his housemates.
According to TMZ, this is a rare occurrence for the BB show. The BB producers seldom made exceptions when it comes to breaking quarantine to inform contestants of any news from the outside world. The only other time they did it was during the 9/11 tragedy.
The site has clarified that as of this time; the producers have not yet revealed any details about the identity of the person who placed the final call in this case.
