Daniel Radcliffe ditched his wand in favor of horns as the "Harry Potter" actor takes the top role in "Horns." He made his Comic-Con debut on July 25 as the lead actor in the upcoming thriller.

Has Daniel Radcliffe traded his wand for "Horns?" In terms of his character portrayals, it seems as if Radcliffe has finally turned a new leaf, changing from a virtuous wand-wielding wizard to a vengeance-seeking demon with backward-curving horns - and a hideous pet snake to boot.

It remains to be seen if the reptile in question does figure out significantly in his role. But like the horns, its presence on Daniel Radcliffe cannot be ignored. In fact, it could be seen comfortably nestled around his neck in the cool but creepy movie poster, which IGN has recently debuted.

Daniel Radcliffe ditched the wand in favor of the horns and he looked intimidating. Harry Potter is all grown up with his image in Alexandre Aja's big screen adaptation of Joe Hill's 2010 dark horror novel. In the horror pic, he takes on the character of Ignatius Perrish.

From the plot snippet featured in joblo.com, Daniel Radcliffe as Perrish wakes up to find Horns growing on his temples after a wild night of boozing and doing horrible things. The splitting headache that rouses him turns out to be not a hangover, but the pain arising from the diabolic protrusions while they push out of his head.

Life then takes on a hellish turn. Perrish lives out the aftermath following the inexplicable rape and murder of his girlfriend Merrin Williams. The radical changes he goes through involve more than just growing horns. But he also develops an uncanny ability to bring out the dark side in people he comes into contact with.

Fans will see a radically different Daniel Radcliffe as he ditches the wand in "Horns" and unleashes his and other people's dark side in the film. He co-stars with Juno Temple, Kelli Garner, Joe Anderson, James Remar, Max Minghella, David Morse and Heather Graham.

The public will have the chance to see just how bad he can get when "Horns" hits cinemas on October 31, 2014.
