Hilary Duff's new single 'Chasing the Sun' drops this Tuesday, July 29, and what better way to promote it than with a sexy pic?
The actress and businesswoman, 26, who's releasing her album after seven years under a new record label, RCA, took to Instagram to sneakily promote her single. "I swear the #chasingthesun plane is in the sky lol squint and look really hard," she wrote, posting a snap of her in a two-piece bikini with her arms pointing to the sky.
The plane she's referring to is part of her team's strategy to promote the single-they hired airplanes to fly across various U.S. cities to pull a sign that read, "Hilary Duff - Chasing the Sun - July 29th!" The So Yesterday singer also encouraged her fans to send her photos of the planes flying over their towns.
The singer-turned-mom even got her son, Luca, 2, to groove to the upbeat song. "#fun #partyanimal #chasingthesun #beachday," she wrote on a video post featuring her child.
There's no specific date yet on when her album will be released, but anticipation is high for the former Disney star's next music offering.
"I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made. 'Chasing the Sun' is a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree," Duff said in a recent statement.
In the years between her 2007 album Dignity, and the upcoming album, the Come Clean singer has been working on her acting career, became a mom to Luca and divorced her husband, Mike Comrie. She's also an author to a series of YA books that have become best sellers.
She calls the new album a "labor of love" and continued, "'Chasing the Sun' is just a peek into my new album. I've worked really hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"
