Extant Halle Berry, CBS' latest drama, is, in a literal sense, out of this world. It features the amazingly beautiful Extant Halle Berry as a female astronaut who comes back from a 13-month solo mission. The premise of the drama surrounds the mystery about her pregnancy. Extant Halle Berry has moved from its original timeslot of 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., with repeats of "Criminal Minds" as a lead-in.
Steven Spielberg is actually one of the executive producers of Extant Halle Berry. For the show's premiere, which aired on the 9th of July, it reportedly only had so-so ratings. Extant Halle Berry's pilot episode had a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic that is most sought by advertisers. This initial rating made it the top new series premieres of the summer.
Although it was an all-time high for this year, it is still a considerably lower rating compared to CBS' "Under the Dome" last year, which had a rating of 3.3 among the key demographic. Sadly, however, the latest episode of Extant Halle Berry, which aired just last week, came down to 1.1.
It would seem that this change in the Extant Halle Berry's timeslot is the show's attempt at reversing the recent rating downslide. For instance, famous drama "Unforgettable," from 9 to 10 p.m. started to get a higher number of viewers and also surged in the key demographic. Additionally, the same thing happened with "Reckless," which was also moved from 9 to 10 p.m., except that its status with the key demographic remains unchanged.
The good news, though, is that Extant Halle Berry has shown very significant growth in Live +7 ratings. This takes into account the number of viewers who chose to tune in for the original air date, as well as in the following seven days. In L +7 numbers, the pilot episode of Extant Halle Berry climbed a good 31% in total viewers, adding almost 3 million to its tally. Plus, it jumped 50% in the key demographic and also increased to a 2.4 rating.
