Nick Diaz news features the former number one welterweight contender's confidence about his style as he faces Anderson Silva in 2015, while also expressing his regret for his "bad boy" image.
The 30-year old Stockton, California native has been scheduled to face the former UFC middleweight champion, and the man who is still considered as the "Greatest Of All Time" (GOAT) in mixed martial arts, Anderson Silva.
Both men will square off inside the cage at UFC 183 on January 31st in Las Vegas, during the company's traditional Super Bowl weekend fight card.
"The greatest of all time, Anderson Silva, is back," White told ESPN.com. "Also back is Nick Diaz. So we have made Anderson Silva-Nick Diaz on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas. It will be the main event, and it will be five rounds."
Nick Diaz news also reveals the elder Diaz brother's interview with UFC.com on how he thinks that fight will go down, and his confidence in his own skills as a fighter coming into what could be the biggest match of his career.
"As far as Anderson Silva, I think that will be a great fight," Diaz said. "Of course, he's kicking and moving, but usually with my style, [my opponents] have a hard time."
"You have to come forward to be kicking and stuff," he added. "It's going to be hard to be kicking people, so you have to put out the punches, if you want to do well."
Nick Diaz has been considered as one of MMA's "bad boys" due to his brash reputation and demeanor towards the media and the opponents he face. But the welterweight contender has shown regret towards some of his actions.
"When I got started, I didn't realize what I was saying, and how it was going to come off," he said about the Nick Diaz news. "I get three-year old kids putting middle fingers out, then I get people hating me and I'm like 'this is really not what I was aiming to do.'"
