For the Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier fight, "DC" plans to train with former champion Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva. The current 205-pound title challenger also affirmed his belief that he will emerge victorious against the current pound-for-pound king of mixed martial arts.

The Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier fight was announced last week after "Bones'" original opponent Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson injured his knee during training and pulled out of the bout.

"DC", who has been clamoring for a title fight since dropping down from heavyweight in February, stepped in as the new challenger. The fight is still set to take place at UFC 178 on September 27th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"DC" has always been a serious contender throughout his mixed martial arts career. As for his first ever title fight in the UFC, the former Olympic wrestler plans to train with two former champions for the upcoming Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier fight.

"I've got some friends and they put me in contact with some of the guys down in southern California, with Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida," Cormier said in his appearance in The MMA Hour show. "I may down go there for a week."

Both "The Spider" and "The Dragon" are training partners under the renowned Black House stable based in Brazil, but holds quarters in California. It is a team that banners fighters such as the Nogueira brothers, Ultimate Fighter winners Uriah Hall and Kevin Gastelum, and former number one light heavyweight contender Glover Texeira, just to name a few.

UFC 178 could easily be the biggest fight in Daniel Cormier's career, facing who is now considered the best fighter in mixed martial arts today. But the former Strikeforce Grand Prix champion guaranteed that the UFC light heavyweight belt will be around his waist sooner than later.

"Jon Jones is 22-0," Cormier said. "He is the pound-for-pound greatest fighter that we may have ever seen, and I believe I can beat him."
