According to an article from MTV, the Portugese sports star took to Twitter his official statement about being represented by the rapper's upcoming Sports Management Company.
Crtisiano Ronaldo tweeted about the Lil Wayne deal rumors last July 27, saying: "There have been news about changes on my management team - it's all false, and I can assure the team is - and will be - the same."
Lil Wayne is the CEO of Young Money music productions, the group behind successful artists such as Drake and Nicki Minaj.
The "Mr. Wayne" rapper is known to be a sports fanatic, but many deem that signing a sports star as big as Cristiano Ronaldo as his first client would be premature.
A previous report from TMZ said Lil Wayne has been eyeing to launch his own sports management company that would supposedly handle "everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals" for Cristiano Ronaldo.
