Former Blackpool midfielder Angel Martinez is weighing his options however keeping them open with a number of clubs chasing for his signature.
Blackpool offered the Spanish ace a new deal on lower terms for him to stay, but Martinez turned it down and is now a free agent.
On July 2011, Martinez signed a two-year contract with English Championship side Blackpool from Girona. The contract included an option for a third year. He was able to show his potentials quickly and established a rapport with the club.
The 28-year-old midfielder is now training at his former club Girona. He said he wants to maintain his fitness ahead of fixing himself at a new club.
A number of Championship and Spanish clubs are known to be weighing up offers for the athlete since he is a target for several clubs in his homeland, though he is believed to be keen on staying in the United Kingdom.
Martinez said that he was sad to leave Blackpool as he had enjoyed his time at the club. He added that the club made it impossible for him to sign a new deal that was 60 percent less than his previous deal.
"I would like to stay in England as I really enjoy playing there and I am thankful to Girona for letting me train there while I sort out my future."
"I have had offers from England and Spain and I will now weigh up my options before deciding where is best to continue my career."
