Robert Pattinson news update 2014: The "Twilight" actor remains in the public eye as he has tried to move on from a long-term relationship. After almost a year of splitting with Kirsten Stewart, R.Patz is now publicly talking about his past relationship and break up. The 28-year-old British actor revealed the toughest part of the split.

"The hardest part was talking about it afterwards," he said. "Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can't predict. It's like that scene in "Doubt" [with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman], where he's talking about how to take back gossip? They throw all those feathers from a pillow into the sky and you've got to go and collect all the feathers."

"S*** happens, you know?" Pattinson told Esquire U.K. "It's just young people ... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s***?"

Reportedly, Kristen Stewart cheated on him, and with a married man. According to ABC, his former girlfriend was caught on camera kissing her married film director, Rupert Sanders, in 2012 and made a public apology to his family and Pattinson, but the couple called it quits a year later.

In the middle of moving on from this relationship drama, Pattinson has been so popular with the paparazzi. They are "everywhere" when he is still living in his former mansion in Griffith Park which he sold for $6.37M earlier this year.

"They photographed anyone who came up to the gate, anyone who rang the bell, and they followed any car that came in and out," he says. "I used to dress up my assistant as me, and get him to drive off with like five cars following him around for hours."

Reportedly, the place he's renting now gives him great comfort. He moved next door to former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight.

According to Esquire, Pattinson is expected to deliver top-drawer performances in movies by David Cronenberg, Werner Herzog and Anton Corbijn over the next few months.
