Colombia's World Cup Star Mario Yepes Eyeing A Transfer In England After Leaving Atlanta

World Cup star Mario Yepes eyes a possibility that he could be set for a move to England this summer.

Yepes captained them to their full potential in the recent World Cup in Brazil and he was one of the Colombia's outstanding players. During his captaincy, Colombia was able to reach the first quarter-finals of their history before they were defeated by Brazil.

The athlete, although 38-year-old, nevertheless showed no signs of weakness such as slowing up at the FIFA World Cup 2014 tournament as he played every minute of Colombia's four games and had a goal harshly disallowed in the quarter-final defeat to Brazil.

Yepes most definitely has a roomful of experience as he aged in the field throughout the years. He had played for River Plate, Paris Saint Germain, and AC Milan during the peak of his career. He was even dubbed as "Super Mario" during his time in France with Paris Saint Germain for he has an outstanding defensive abilities and fitness levels.

After leaving Atlanta, the central defender is now a free agent; however, he is thought to be keen on trying his luck in England.

Agent Gino Culberston and his company Excel Management & Promotions confirmed that they are talking to several clubs about making contracts for the South American since they have the exclusive UK mandate for him.

"I am already talking to several clubs who have shown an interest in Mario," Culberston said.

"Mario is keen to finish his career in the UK and with his experience and undoubted talent he would be a valuable addition for anyone."
