Which smartphone is the ideal purchase for consumers? We pit the Oppo Find 7 against the Asus Zenfone 6 to see which device is better.
In terms of design and specs, the Asus Zenfone 6 has a plastic body and it is available in four color options: white, black, red and gold. It has a massive screen of 6 inches (IPS), and renders a resolution of 720x1280pixels, and a pixel density of 245ppi. Its dimensions are 166.9×84.3×9.9 mm and it weighs 196 grams. It also features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of its screen.
As for the Oppo Find 7, it is also made of plastic, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a 5.5 inches screen IPS LCD and it has light and proximity sensors, plus a HD resolution of 1440x2560pixels and a pixel density of 534ppi. Its dimensions are 152.6x75x9.2 mm and it is 28 grams lighter than ist rival.
For the hardware and OS, the Asus Zenfone 6 is powered by a dual-core 2GHz processor, based on a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and it uses a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, being helped by the 1 or 2GB of RAM. It has three expandable variants of built in storage with these capacities: 8/16/32GB. With a microSD card, users can get up to 64GB of internal storage and it runs on the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), but it’s upgradeable to the 4.4.2 (KitKat) version.
The Oppo Find 7 has a quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor, which teams up with a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and an Adreno 330 GPU. It hosts 32GB of internal storage expandable for up to 128GB and 3GB of RAM and it runs on the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Color OS UI.
For battery and camera specs, the Asus Zenfone 6 has a non-removable Li-Po 3300mAh battery, while the Oppo Find 7 has a Li-Po 3000mAh removable battery. Both smartphones have advanced cameras with the resolution of 13MP, sharing common features such as autofocus, geo tagging, touch focus, panorama, face detection and video recording at 1080p@30fps. In addition, the Find 7 offers video recording at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps and 720p@120fps and has dual LED flash and HDR. The secondary camera on the Zenfone 6 is at 2MP, while the Otto smartphone features a 5MP camera on the front for video conferences.
