It's been quite some time since we've last seen the country diva with another man that's why fans can't wait to find out who will become Taylor Swift's new boyfriend. After her break up with Harry Styles, the 24-year old singer decided to focus more on her music career than men.
Being single isn't easy but Taylor found company in her friends including Ed Sheeran who even supported her during her "Red" tour last year. They are great friends and both are very vocal about their relationship with each other.
Taytay and Ed can be seen attending events and other social gatherings together. The British crooner was even rumored as Taylor Swift's new boyfriend because of their closeness. However, the 23-year old recording artist told US Weekly that his relationship with the American singing sensation is completely platonic.
He revealed that he's dating a chef, but he didn't give out her name. A few days ago, Ed Sheeran finally introduced his new girlfriend Athina Andrelos to the world. Many people were happy for the "Lego House" hitmaker, but it seems that his close pal is greatly affected by this development.
A source told Heat magazine, "She can't stand the fact that he's fallen for someone--Ed's been like her boyfriend substitute for the past 18 months and suddenly he's not available anymore." The insider also revealed, "She has met Athina and, at first, she was OK about it. But now that Ed and Athina are getting more serious, she's turned into a green-eyed monster. Ed was always available 24/7, so if Taylor wanted to call him at 3am, it wasn't a problem, but suddenly it's awkward."
The new couple recently had a vacation in Ibiza and their photos can be seen on Athina's Instagram account. I'm sure Taylor's a bit jealous of Ed and his girlfriend so she tried to find ways to get his attention. A source told the magazine, "Ed had a few quiet words with Taylor. It's difficult, because he thinks the world of her and doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize their relationship. Some days, Taylor texts and calls him 20 times."
