LG G3 Mini Release Date: G3 Beat Said To Beat Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini And HTC One Mini; Smartphone To Be Launched In Korea This Week; Worldwide Availability Next Month?

Korean tech giant LG has revealed its newest smartphone- the LG G3 Mini, which is officially called the LG G3 Beat- and fans all over the globe can't wait for its release date.

The new phone is said to be a mid-tier variant of the flagship LG G3 phone, and is designed for users who are not fond of the larger screened devices. LG G3 Mini or G3 Beat could be the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini's and the HTC One Mini's tough competitor.

In an interview with LG CEO and president Dr Jong-Seok Park, he explained why they decided to release a smaller sized version of the LG G3.

"Smartphone manufacturers cannot ignore this growing segment of consumers who want the best balance of looks, features, performance and, of course, price," he said.

"The LG G3 Beat represents our commitment to the mid-tier smartphone market that demands mature technology, proven branding, great innovation and attractive price, all in a single device."

Some of the noteworthy specs of the LG G3 Mini include:

- A 5-inches 1280x720 resolution screen

- Quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor

- 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage

- Android 4.4 Kitkat

- Same laser autofocus as the LG G3

- 8MP rear camera

- 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0

- Custom LG softwares including Smart Keyboard and Gesture Shot

- Improved 2,450mAh battery

- Same Gold, Black and White colors as the LG G3

The LG G3 Mini will be released in Korea on Friday. However, there have been no official confirmation about its global release date. Others have speculated that it wouldn't take long before the new device reaches the US and other parts of the world, with others saying that it will also be made available by next month.
