Captain Mile Jedinak has insisted that Crystal Palace's board should make a move quickly and appoint a new manager following Pulis' departure.
Pulis' reason for leaving was reportedly because he was unhappy with the way the club has done their business on transfers in the summer.
As of now, Keith Millen is temporarily taking charge of the post that Pulis left. However, he could not guide the team to what could have been a positive end. It has been a difficult week for Palace as they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The club's co-chairman Steve Parish said that the board is now looking for someone with experience and who can start ahead of the end of the transfer window. They are eyeing candidates with the likes of former Cardiff boss Malky Mackay, Tim Sherwood-who just left Tottenham in the summer, and ex-Celtic manager Neil Lennon.
Midfielder Jedinak admits that the players of the team are hoping for the circumstance to be resolved the soonest as possible for it will be really tough for their side to climb to the top of the campaign if this situation persists.
"It is a situation which is a little bit difficult to comprehend at the minute, but it is part and parcel of this game and the job we do," the Australian said.
"You see things happen, but it is up to you as a footballer and as a professional to continue on with your job.
"What happens is out of your control and something you cannot have an influence on, you just need to get on with it.
"We did that and I cannot stress how proud I am of the group. We all know how important it is to get a manager installed at the football club.
"For us it would be ideal (to be a quick appointment), but it is not up to us.
The captain added that they addressed matters as a group on Friday and they all agreed that they need to put in a performance.
"On the balance of the game we deserved at least a point, but it is something we need to learn from and quickly."
