Floyd Mayweather's next fight will be a lot less complicated according to opponent Marcos Maidana, as "El Chino" admits that he overestimated the pound-for-pound boxing king during their first encounter.

Floyd Mayweather's next fight is scheduled for September 13th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will be a rematch of their initial clash in May, wherein "Money May" emerged victorious via majority decision.

For Floyd Mayweather's next fight, four titles will be defended: the WBA Super welterweight title, the Ring Magazine and WBC welterweight, and the WBC light welterweight title. All titles belong to Mayweather.

With less than a month away before the fight, Marcos Maidana spoke in an exclusive interview with Showtime during Saturday night's broadcast to discuss his thoughts on the rematch and how he feels it will be different from their previous encounter.

"The first time, I had a little more anxiety," Maidana answered through a translator. "I have more time to train this time. Now I know Floyd much better, and that's going to be key for the second fight."

The first time, however, showed an opponent who was able to do extensive damage on the number one pound-for-pound boxing king today. During the first half of the fight, "El Chino" was able to trap Floyd Mayweather within the ropes and land some significant punches.

Unfortunately, he was not able to sustain the same energy level, which in turn gave "Money May" a chance to get his bearings straight and fight back. This in turn, gave him more leverage towards the judges' scorecards en route to a victory.

But for Marcos Maidana, the one mistake that he believes he made was overestimating his opponent.

"I though Mayweather might be a little faster, and that wasn't the case," Maidana continued. "I got to him, and that's when I basically noticed that he wasn't that fast as expected."
