Darren Ferguson revealed that he has made bids for four new players after watching his Peterborough side defeat MK Dons.
Ferguson saw super-sub Kyle Vassell make his way to the pitch and shine with the performance the player put in at London Road.
Vassell entered with 17 minutes left and struck twice within four minutes beating Dons goalkeeper David Martin to an aerial duel and tapping into the empty net shortly afterwards.
Ferguson was not kept by the second successive league victory from bidding to boost this squad even more. He said that they have made bids for four more players in the past week and that he even told the chairman to reduce one bid because he felt he had offered too much.
"We are trying to do business the right way and get the right players in - and we will almost certainly have something done on Monday.
"It is important we add to the squad even though we have had two wins out of two games in the league. This one should have been more comfortable, but I'm just glad the substitution worked out.
"Kyle is a great lad. I had told him before kick-off he would play a part and he ended up winning the game."
Dons boss Karl Robinson was rather disappointed by the ways and standard of officiation after seeing the last-gasp penalty appeal for a challenge on Kyle McFadzean dismissed. He said that the assistant referees of the game were very, very poor and in fact the worst that he has seen.
"They didn't take responsibility and didn't do their jobs correctly, and it is part of the game that needs to be looked at.
"There was a rugby tackle on Kyle late on and yet we didn't get a penalty.
"We have to take our hat off to Peterborough for beating us even though it is a game we should not have lost.
"We have conceded three goals - one of which was deflected, one of which was sloppy and the other was down to a mistake.
"The buck stops with me and I take responsibility for the defeat, but I'm not despondent by any means."
