The Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier beef was recently justified by none other than Dana White himself, but the UFC president says the off-cam war of words between the two is only the tip of the iceberg.

The Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier beef has escalated on an all-time high when a brawl during the UFC 178 pre-fight media day broke out two weeks ago. But Dana White has justified the incident, pointing out that it was part of the game, however, it could have been prevented.

"You want my personal opinion? Our bad. It's our bad," White said during the UFC Fight Night 47 post-fight media scrum. "These guys are fighters. They're two of the baddest dudes on the planet. They're going face-to-face to stare off. We have to make sure that doesn't happen and shouldn't happen, but it did."

White also pointed out that Dave Sholler, the UFC's Senior Director of Public Regulations, and the man in charge to facilitate the said pre-fight event failed to handle the situation due to inexperience.

"Dave 'The Ragdoll' Sholler, he doesn't have a lot of experience in that position," White said. "That thing got a little crazy. It's going to happen. This isn't ice-skating. It's the fight business and anything can happen at any given moment, no matter how educated the guys are, how great they are, everything is always explosive, man.

"Two of the baddest dudes get in each other's face, you've got to be ready and make sure nothing happens," he added.

Another highlight of the Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier beef was the death threats thrown by "Bones" towards "DC" as both men appeared on ESPN SportsCenter. The exchange of words was caught off-cam, when the two fighters unknowingly had their respective microphones on.

But according to Dana White, that was not the worst verbal tirade between the two.

"Every time you do those transmissions, those transmissions out there, they go to tons of media and they're jumping from station to station," White said. "Somebody was on there actually filming when they were talking."

"You think that's bad? You should see the other stuff we have that they were saying to each other that people didn't get," he continued. "It was pretty nasty."
