Gisele Bundchen has topped the Forbes Highest Paid Models 2014 list for the eighth straight year, said a report from Daily Mail. The supermodel earned a total of $47Million in 2013, and is joined by newcomers to the annual list such as Cara Delevingne and Kate Upton.

The annual list is calculated from each model's earnings from June 2013 to June 2014, computing income from the models' endorsements, advertising, cosmetics and fragrance deals.

The impressive earnings of the 34-year-old Brazilian first-placer are attributed to modelling campaigns that she has done for brands such as H&M, Chanel, and Carolina Herrera. The mother-of-two is also an endorser for Pantene in the United States and Oral-B in Brazil. She also has partnerships with Brazilian companies, such as shoemaker Grendene and lingerie brand Hope.

According to the Daily Mail report, Giselle Bundchen began modelling in 2001 and has reportedly earned a grand total of $386million.

Also joining Gisele Bundchen in the Forbes Highest Paid Models 2014 list are Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima, who are tied in second place at $8Million each.

Harper's Bazaar also featured the newcomers who joined Gisele Bundchen in the Forbes Highest Paid Models 2014 list, such as Cara Delevingne, Kate Upton and Karlie Kloss.

Aside from debuting in the top earners list, the three models also individually boast a wide following in social media.

Model and It Girl Cara Delevingne has a whopping Instagram fanbase of 6 million followers, while Sports Illustrated bombshell Kate Upton and Victoria Secret Angel Karlie Kloss both have over 1.1 million Instagram followers.

The Harper's Bazaar feature mentioned an analysis made by the senior vice-president and managing director of IMG Models:

"The first question from brands these days is immediately, 'how many followers do they have?' Models can be more famous than a lot of celebrities out there because they have such a large following."
