"Game of Thrones" season 5 spoilers reveal of a production delay caused by Cersei Lannister, though no fault of actress Lena Headey. Meanwhile, cast Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark veers away from the book.
The British tabloid MailOnline reported "Game of Thrones" season 5 spoilers as it found out that the production team and Lean Headey have been banned from filming a "crucial topless scene" in Dubrovnik, the capital city of Croatia.
"A scene that required central character Cersei Lannister, played by Lena Headey, to leave a church walk through the streets of King's Landing in the nude has been rejected by the city's Church of St. Nicholas," the tabloid said.
The scene is part of the "Walk of Penance" described in George R. R. Martin's book "A Dance With Dragons" under the "A Song of Fire And Ice" series. It was to be filmed along Stradun Street, a very public place which is near the Sponza Palace and Dubrovnik Cathedral.
However, according to TMZ, the production team will just have to find an alternative location because the scene could not be cut because of its importance.
Meanwhile, Sophie Turner dished out more "Game of Thrones" season 5 spoilers to Zap2it blog as she teased a very different Sansa Stark that would be unrecognizable to those who have read the books by George R. R. Martin.
"I kind of read the 'Game of Thrones' books as the seasons [went on], but now that the storyline and scripts are kind of going away from the books I decided I'm just going to read the scripts so I don't get confused and read the books later," she said.
Sophie Turner also said that her dramatic change will surprise fans and she's excited to play a fiercer Sansa Stark who is now ready to play the game, as opposed to being the submissive and obedient girl the viewers have come to know.
