New updates for Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed game, Assassin's Creed Unity have been revealed.

The Fuse Joplin reports that Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed game will not have a multiplayer mode for PS4, Xbox One, and for the PC. The reason behind it is that the developers of the Assassin's Creed Unity are looking forward to introducing an all new multiplayer experience: the four player co-op mode. While there have been multiplayer modes in the game, it wasn’t the success that Ubisoft expected citing the very few number of players participating because it lacks the depth that most multiplayer titles have, not only from a developer perspective, but from a gamer’s view point as well.

Ubisoft has made a statement regarding the development of Assassin's Creed Unity.

“With the new game, we are reinventing the franchise and thanks to the new generation hardware, which has allowed us to take leaps in terms of innovation as well as game play strategy. When we designed the game, we not only wanted to evolve it in terms of hardware but in game play as well.

Our session with the fans revealed that they wanted a new type of multiplayer experience, the co-op mode which had been in our minds for a long time. So, we took up the opportunity and decided to implement it in the game.”

Meanwhile, there have been reports that a leaked footage of Assassin's Creed Unity Rift Mode has been streamed online,

Several gaming news site have reported that a Reddit user leaked the Beta Test for Rift Mode and posted it on YouTube. But, unfortunately the footage has been removed by the users.

Luckily, Eurogamer has described the functions of the Rift Mode. The Rift mode sees players race around an environment collecting glyphs for points, while attempting to beat the ghosts of their friends. Some levels will feature specific Assassins and Templars in time periods other than Unity, and players will likely see the return of past characters such as Altair, Ezio, Edward Kenway, Aveline and many more.

Further more, Ubisoft has declined any comment on the leaked footage and requested Reddit's Assassin's Creed board to abstain from posting the leak or discussing any details of it.
