Google Cloud Platform 2014 makes use of Zync Render, to enable movie studios to produce state-of the-art effects in it, as reported by Techcrunch!
The Google Cloud Platform for 2014 produced visual effects in popular movies that included "Star Trek: Into Darkness and Looper."
Zync is currently being used in EC2 service from Amazon, however, Google will now also apply this in its cloud platform.
Techcrunch further reported that Zync will be working on optimizing films in Google's cloud platform, totalling a running time of 6.5 million hours.
Google also stated, as reported by Techcrunch, that producing such visual effects usually can't be done without the help of the cloud platform.
According to Google, as reported in Techcrunch, it will implement its per-minute billing for its users who will use Zync Render. However, Zync has not confirmed anything about the newest Google Cloud Platform 2014 service plan.
The Zync team, did release this statement, as reported in Techcrunch, saying:
"the scale and reliability of Google Cloud Platform will help us offer an even better service to our customers - including more scalability, more host packages and better pricing (including per-minute billing)."
Techcrunch reported that in the past, Amazon also provided services to Google's cloud platform. Amazon previously provided visual effects on "Star Trek: Into Darkness," like what Zync did. Microsoft has followed Google's footsteps by developing its own cloud app, too.
