Rumors circulating on the internet hint at a possible movie appearance of Harley Quinn of "Suicide Squad" without mentioning if the rest of the super villain team will be in tow. However, reports have confirmed that the producers will put the group's flick on hold indeterminately.

In the report by Screenrant, the lady baddie Harley Quinn of "Suicide Squad" is quite popular among fans. The idea of the femme fatale's debuting into filmdom after catching the interest of Warner Bros. came from the fans' grapevine.

No one offered any explanations on how the rumor came about. Although Harley Quinn of "Suicide Squad" had a recent cameo appearance in one of the episodes of "Arrow" season 2, as shared by Seattle PI, it does nothing to confirm, let alone explain, how fans got wind of the idea that she is slated to debut in a movie soon. And as surmised by observers, her close affiliation with the Suicide Squad could mean that the whole team will be joining her.

But none of these speculations is going to materialize just yet. News of the team's planned movie being frozen by Warner Bros. came out in 2013, as detailed by Screenrant. But just recently, the site went on to report about the growing evidence that the film company may finally be deciding to pursue the team's movie debut.

They cited the rumors that Warner Bros. is currently looking to speed up developments in its DC-Marvel Universe, and the first group they were allegedly considering is Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad.

Fans of the super baddies rejoiced upon hearing it. But their celebration was short-lived. Not long after, the studio declared its intention to suspend all projects until after the launching of "Justice League."

However, even if studio execs have yet to pursue major film plans with "Super Squad" in the lead, they have already included them in a Batman animated movie entitled "Batman: Assault on Arkham," which the film outfit made for video release, reported Seattle PI.
