Forbes Internet Edition reported on 2nd that Samsung is preparing flexible plastic display using AMOLED technology. Forbes quoted Nomura Research analyst Richard Windsor's report.
Winsor said on the report that smart phones with plastic display will be much lighter and thinner comparing to previous versions. He expected that this news display will be applied first to bezel (bezel-less smart phones), and completely foldable devices would be released within next year.
He analyzed that this can be a threat to Apple.
Forbes wrote that they requested Samsung to confirm the fact, however, Samsung answered that they can't comment on future products.
Samsung had denied in last year against the forecast that foldable mobile phone 'Galaxy Skin' would be on market during the 2nd quarter of this year, and they didn't reveal Galaxy S3 even at 2012 Mobile World Congress.
