The Apple iWatch release date may not come as a Christmas gift for you. According to one of the sources of Re/code's John Paczkowski, "It's not shipping anytime soon."

Previous Apple iWatch Rumors had it that the company may release it this coming October or November but with limited supply. However, there are reports spreading that the much-awaited Apple wearable device may be made available to the market early 2015 but the formal unveiling of the product may be on Sept. 9 - coinciding with the release of iPhone 6.

The Internet is flooded with speculations and calculations about Apple iWatch release date. This made it the most widely speculated about products, according to Yahoo! Tech News.

Another Re/code information stated that, "Apple executives have discussed charging around $400 for the company's new wearable device." But the sources are quick to add that "pricing has yet to be finalized for the forthcoming products". Apple iWatch price may not be crystal-clear come Sept. 9 but what may be definite is that the rumors on Apple iWatch release date may end on that day.

If the iWatch will really be priced at $400, is it worth the consumers' wait? Speaking of durability, the answer may be "yes". According to Gant Daily, "Apple has the reputation of having no concern about how much their hardware would cost as long as it is a more superior product compared to the closest competition."

But if buyers are looking closely at the functions, they may reconsider or they may do a comparison first. What can an iWatch do that a smartphone can't?

In the Daily Mail report, it said that "The iWatch is likely to run a modified version of the upcoming iOS 8 software, but the app size and functions will need to be different to accommodate the smaller screen, processing power and watch tools."
