Jennifer Lawrence's Leaked Photos Raises Concern Over iCloud; FBI and Apple Currently Investigating the Leaks

"The Hunger Games" star Jennife Lawrence is one of the many other celebrities whose photos nude photos were recently leaked online.

Lawrence's spokesperson released a statement and said, "This is a flagrant violation of privacy." In the statement, the actress' spokesperson also stressed that they will be filing a case against not only the hacker but also anyone who distributes or shares the photos online or elsewhere, according to Boston Globe.

On Monday, the FBI confirmed that they investigating the leaks that took place over the weekend. Apple has also confirmed that they are taking the matter into their hands and confirmed that they "actively investigating" some of its accounts on iCloud.

"We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report," Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris told Recode.

Meanwhile, other A-listers involved in the recent hacking scandal include singers Ariana Grande and Rihanna, Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian and more.

Multiple sources confirmed that the hacker, whose name and identity has not yet been confirmed, took advantage of Apple's iCloud glitch to grab hold of the photos and eventually uploaded them on the site 4chan, the NY Daily News reported.

The same publication suggested that the hacker may have also accessed the passwords of the celebrities through the "Find My iPhone app."

"Until we see any evidence that indicates that a broader iCloud breach occurred or even get confirmation that iCloud was involved in these incidents, we have no reason to believe that iCloud is unsafe," Christina Warren of Mashable wrote.

As of late, all of the celebrities involved in the recent hacking scandal have not yet reacted to the news, expect for Ariana Grande who revealed that her leaked photos were actually fake, the same publication noted.

Still, PR agent and communication expert Mark Barkowski said, "It's extremely sad to think how these celebrities are exploited, but it's the price of fame," Irish Examiner noted.
