Nick Cannon has opened up following his recent split from Maria Carey and has said that he's most concerned about his ex-wife's mental state.

Multiple sources previously claimed that Cannon's cheating was the main cause of the couple's breakup but Cannon stressed that he was never involved with another woman.

Instead, Cannon explained that the split was brought about by the singer's mental state that is not healthy for their entire family, according to Madame Noire.

Sources close to the family revealed to TMZ that Cannon believes "the environment around Mariah is toxic and fears for the kids."

Cannon also revealed that Mariah's main goal has been to make money and not to raise their children well.

However, such rumors were shunned by Mariah's representatives, friends and family members who insisted that the cause of their breakup really hard to do with Cannon's infidelity.

The estranged couple, who have been living separately for months now, allegedly broke up after Cannon was spotted cozying up to Jasmine Sanders, Mariah's lookalike, Inquisitr reported.

"Cannon reportedly cozied up to Sanders at an event in Malibu in July. He is so taken with the beauty, he has been paying the rent on her Los Angeles apartment," a source dished to the publication.

As of late, Mariah has not yet filed for a divorce but if the cheating rumors were true, this would most likely mean the end of their relationship.

The same insider added, "Mariah thinks that when Nick travels that he cheats on her. Mariah is super jealous."

Meanwhile, another source revealed to Star Magazine that Cannon and Sanders were once again spotted engaged in a PDA spree during the launch party of his new endorsement, the NCredible Tablet.

"They could barely keep their hands off each other," the source said as reported by IBTimes.
