Which smartphone is worth the purchase? We compare the HTC One Mini against the Blackberry Z3 to see which is the better choice.
For the design and display, the HTC One comes with multiple color choices: Stealth Black, Blue and Glacial Silver. Its display is an Super LCD2 model measuring 4.3 inches with a pixel density of 342 pixels per inch and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It weighs 122 grams and comes with the following dimensions: 132 x 63.2 x 9.3 mm.
The Blackberry Z3 has a rich Black body shade and shows off single Micro-SIM character (same as the HTC One Mini). This device is heavier (weight: 164 grams) and larger (dimensions: 140 x 72.8 x 9.3 mm) than its counterpart. It also has a larger display of 5 inches, but it actually shows off an inferior pixel density of 220 pixels per inch.
In terms of hardware and OS, the HTC One Mini has a dual core processor working at 1.4 GHz that is paired up with the Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm and Adreno 305 GPU. The Blackberry Z3 has a Krait 400: dual core working at 1.2 GHz paired up with the Snapdragon 400 MSM8230 chipset from Qualcomm and Adreno 305 GPU. It houses more RAM than the HTC device, 1.5 GB to be precise, but comes with less internal memory: 8 GB. It is equipped with a microSD card slot, meaning that the internal storage can be expanded by up to 32 GB and runs on the BlackBerry 10.2.1.
For the battery and camera specs, the HTC One Mini houses a Li-Po, non removable, battery unit that has a capacity of 1800 mAh. It is estimated to last around 13.5 hours of talking time on 3G and 692 hours of standby time. It is also equipped with a 4MP rear-facing camera and a 1.6MP front-facing camera.
The Blackberry Z3 houses a Li-Ion battery unit with a capacity of 2500 mAh which is estimated to last around 15 hours and 30 minutes of talking time (or 384 hours of standby time). The blackberry smartphone comes with a better primary camera of 5MP, with the secondary camera having only 1.1 MP.
