Lee Soo Hyuk recently finished his role as the detached and yet emotionally damaged chaebol Yoo Jin Woo in the comedy "High School King of Manners." So he is looking forward to his next project. The model-turned actor is considering a role in tvN's upcoming drama "Sensible Love."

According to a tvN press release, he is considering the role of Kim Joon, a carpenter in the drama. Kim Joon is a young man with plenty of charisma but some tragic events in his past.

Lee Soo Hyuk's agency, Star J Entertainment, confirmed that he is reviewing the script for "Sensible Love." The drama, set to air in November, concerns a girl who marries her high school teacher but then meets another man. Kim Joon would be that man but it's not certain which male role would be the leading one.

If Kim Joon was a leading role, it could be Lee Soo Hyuk's first. The actor, who debuted as a runway model in 2006, has slowly been expanding his acting resume. After appearing in major magazines such as GQ, Bazaar and Elle, he appeared in a few music videos and had his first film role.

He was Sandara Park's disappearing love in the video for their single "It Hurts" and later on was seen in 2NE1's "Falling in Love" video. He also appeared in Gavy NJ and Exid videos.

He played a student in the film "My Boss, My Teacher," but his first drama role took place in 2011. That year he had no less than four drama roles. He was Yoon Soo in "White Christmas," Yoon Pyeong in "Deep Rooted Tree,' Lee Soo Bin in "What's Up" and Mukadil Kejua in "Vampire Idol."

In "Shark" he stood out as Kim Soo Hyun, an investigator in the prosecutor's office. He worked with the prosecutor who was married to Son Ye Jin's character. After that role, he tried something bigger, a second lead. And he pulled it off. So, his next role could be a leading one.

With a title like "Sensible Love," the project sounds like it will be a romantic comedy. Lee Soo Hyuk has said in the past that he was not sure he could play a romantic role.

In an 2010 interview with 10Asia, he once said that is he was cast in a romantic comedy he would prefer to take on the role of a villain.

"Although many of the photographs I have posed in make me look trendy and slender somewhat-well, not so manly, I'm actually much closer to being masculine in real life. And in romantic dramas in particular, it's the bad guy that starts the incidents so I want to try playing such a role."

But since "High School King of Manners" featured him in quite a few romantic scenes, he must have changed his mind since then.
