Chris Evans spilled out some "Avengers 2" spoilers at the recent Toronto International Film Festival. He was there to promote his new film "Before We Go", but he wasn't able to escape some questions about Captain America. The 33-year old actor gained fame for his role as America's favorite superhero and now there are rumors that he will perish in the second installment of "The Avengers".
During a Q & A with Joss Whedon, the director revealed some major "Avengers 2" spoilers. Screen Rant reported him saying, "When I actually considered doing Avengers 2, my first question was what can I do that's new? Because I can't make it bigger [audience laughs], but I can make it better, so that's where I'm sort of going with that."
When the filmmaker was asked what his philosophy was for the sequel, this is what Whedon said: "Death, death and death." That left many Marvel fans wondering who would die in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." Based on our previous report, the footage at the San Diego Comic-Con revealed the last scene of the movie and it showed their Captain America unconscious and with a broken shield while Iron Man stared at him in horror.
Could the "Avengers 2" spoilers be true? With the confirmation of "Captain America 3", it may seem impossible to kill off the lead character. Chris Evans revealed to MTV News what viewers can expect on the third sequel of "Captain America". The screen heartthrob said, "It's this giant web of plot, where everything is connected to everything else... that's the beautiful thing and especially for the fanboys who understand these plotlines. With Cap 3, we're going to continue this excitement."
So we can expect "Captain America 3" to be the continuation of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron". The actor also said, "Marvel doesn't disappoint." He added, "Whatever you're hoping for, you're probably going to get." There were also rumors that Chris Evans will be handing over his role to a new actor.
He said, "Who's handing off the shield? Don't take my job from me prematurely dude." He added, "I'm sure it'll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I'm really happy playing the character." What do you think of the latest "Avengers 2" spoilers? Who do you think could best replace Chris Evans?
