Chef Gordon Ramsay news reveal that he has opened his first restaurant in Hong Kong. The culinary master turned reality TV star has also returned to television for more servings of his hit cooking competition show, "Hell's Kitchen".
According to the report from Drinks Business, the new Chef Gordon Ramsay restaurant is called Bread Street Kitchen. It has been running under "soft opening" since September 8, but will officially launch on September 18.
Chef Gordon Ramsay news stated that the restaurant is located in Lan Kwai Fond, a popular nightspot in Hong Kong. The establishment can seat 90 diners plus an additional 30 patrons by the bar, and is an extension of the original Bread Street Kitchen in London.
Menu offerings include Chef Gordon Ramsay's traditional British specialties. Drinks Business listed some of the signature dishes, which include cote de boeuf and roasted veal carpaccio, truffle crème fraiche and artichoke, and king crab cocktail with apple and pink peppercorn.
With the recent Chef Gordon Ramsay news, the "Hell's Kitchen" host shared: "This is an exciting step, entering the amazing food culture of the Asian market with one of our successful London concepts."
"We're drawn to Hong Kong, as the first place in the region to open, as it has a vibrant and welcoming dining scene with lots of food lovers and explorers looking for new food and drink experiences. I can't wait to open the doors," the Chef said in the Drinks Business report.
Aside from the new Chef Gordon Ramsay restaurant, the famed chef's reality cooking competition "Hell's Kitchen" returned on Fox Network last September 10 for its 13th season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, among the challenges Chef Gordon Ramsay will be subjecting the contestants to include serving an exclusive club, a camping challenge, and catering for a culinary graduation.
The showbiz news site also listed celebrity guests for this season: Steven Tyler, Nigel Lythgoe, Wendy Williams, Chris Bosh, Allyson Felix, Penn Jillette, and Lou Diamond-Phillips.
