Mike Tyson news features '"ron Mike's" recent interview in Ontario, Canada wherein his previous rape conviction was brought up. This was in turn met with a violent verbal response from the former heavyweight world champion broadcasted all over national television.
"Iron Mike" appeared on Canada's "CablePlus 24" to discuss and promote his one-man Broadway show entitled "Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth". Tyson had previously guested in television shows such as "The Fight Network" hosted by John Ramdeen and Robin Black.
Mike Tyson news reveals that host Nathan Downer was in the middle of an interview with the former heavyweight world champ, when he suddenly brought up a rape case the former boxer was convicted for in 1992.
"Some of your critics would say 'there's a race for mayor, we know you're a convicted rapist, this could hurt his campaign,' how would you respond to that?" Downer said, referring to Tyson's support for Toronto mayor Rob Ford.
The question was met with an unpleasant response, as Tyson immediately lashed out on Downer, whom he described as "being negative."
"Hey, I don't know who said that, you're the only one I've heard say that," Tyson replied. "I don't have no comment toward that. I think that's negative, you're being negative. I met the mayor, there's nothing they can do about it."
Mike Tyson news also reveals that the recent tongue-lashing he gave on national television was the first time in a long time for the "renewed" Iron Mike. This was why even Nathan Downer himself was stunned by the former champion's response.
"It's so interesting that you come across as a nice guy but you're really a piece of sh*t," Tyson continued. "F**k you. I don't care."
"I don't know, it's more nerve-wrecking being here talking to a rat piece of shit like you," he added. "Nah man, you're a piece of shit. You didn't have to, you're a piece of shit. Fuck you."
Nathan Downer later issued a public apology through his personal Twitter account.
