Everything doesn’t seem to be going very well in Mariah Carey’s life. Now that her situation with husband Nick Cannon is beyond repair, she comes to a conclusion to put their marriage to an end. Even though they have spent their time with each other for 6 years and have raised two children together, the famed singer was recently found depressed with friends fearing that she may have a breakdown.
According to the insiders of OK! Magazine, Mariah’s present mental state is considered a wreck, and she seems to be very devastated by the separation, spending nights drinking and worrying about her marriage. As a matter of fact, the magazine noted hat her friends fear that she might snap out of her sanity any time soon if not today.
The words “intervention” and “professional help” appeared in the discussion as well, which would suggest that Mariah is currently having a drinking problem, as it was stated in the last reports on the singer. Mariah was found to regularly drink herself into a stupor, downing bottle after bottle of champagne, until the early hours of the morning.
This explains why Nick Cannon has to divorce her and one of the main reasons he is refusing to say bad things about her. “Nick wanted Mariah to go to rehab” a friend told the publication, since Mariah has recently paired her all-night drinking with anti-depressant pills.
Aside from champagne and seething about Nick Cannon, sources of the magazine also said she spends hours looking at every photo frame in her house, dissecting it “to death.” While this can't be a healthy occupation, Carey is said to be keeping this up for months now, which is why her friends are worried about losing her.
Mariah Carey was known to have a devastating series of bad breakups. In 2001, Mariah landed herself in the hospital with self-inflicted wounds, after she reportedly suffered a mental breakdown. That was 4 years after her divorce from Tommy Mottola.
Now, friends are trying their best to be of help to her current state. They say that they are afraid to leave her alone since she might do something to herself that will land her in the hospital once more.
