Bourne Identity Full Movie: Matt Damon To Come Back As Jason Bourne? Director Paul Greengrass Also On Board!

The success of the Bourne Identity franchise really relied on two things: actor Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass. The movies, based on Robert Ludlum's novels were not only a critical success, they were also box office favorites.

The two movies of the franchise, The Bourne Ultimatum grossed $ 227 in the domestic box office, while The Bourne Supremacy earned $ 176 million also in the domestic box office.

The same Paul Greengrass, Matt Damon formula was not present behind The Bourne Legacy, which was probably the reason why the fourth installment of the franchise wasn't as successful as the first three films.

Now, fans of the original Jason Bourne movies can rejoice as news comes out of a new Bourne Identity full movie with the Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass team back behind it.

It will be remembered that the only reason why Matt Damon walked away from making another movie as Jason Bourne was the fact that Greengrass did not want to make another Bourne movie. According to Variety.com their sources have revealed the good news that a Bourne Identity full movie is on the way. Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are reportedly in early talks to make the next new movie about our favorite modern spy hero.

But there isn't any news about what this old mean for the other Bourne movies already in development as an offshoot of Jeremy Renner's The Bourne Legacy. The most recent news is that there will be a Bourne 5 with Justin Lin (known for the Fast and Furious franchise) attached to direct. Bourne 5 with main character Aaron Cross will reportedly be released on July 16, 2016. This should have some implications on the Damon-Greengrass movie, but we don't know yet how.

Stay tuned for news of developments on a new Bourne Identify full movie, as we keep you posted.
