Remember when TV was filled with Reverend Eric Camden and his brood of five , delivering life lessons for the entire family?
Fans saw the kids of '7th Heaven' grow up, get married and have their own kids in the CW series.
After eight years, the '7th Heaven' cast gathered once again for a family dinner and a nostalgic photo. Unfortunately, it wasn't for a TV special.
Stephen Collins, who played the patriarch in the hit series, uploaded a photo on Twitter of the entire Camden family. Mackinzie Rosman, who played youngest daughter Ruthie, and the twins were the only one missing in the family dinner.
Collins captioned the happy photo, "1st time in 8 yrs Joy, laughs! Dave,Preg @beverleymitchel, me, @JessicaBiel,@realBarryWatson, Cath. No @mack_smack."
Collins was joined by almost all of the '7th Heaven' cast - David Gallagher (Simon), Beverly Mitchell (Lucy), Jessica Biel (Mary), Barry Watson (Matt), and Catherine Hicks (Annie a.k.a. Mom) - in the picture.
Mitchell, who played the middle daughter Lucy, followed up with a tweet as well, saying, "Something truly amazing happened last night and my heart is overflowing! Love these peeps more than I can ever explain! We were just missing Mack! Feeling so incredibly blessed to have these incredible people in my life!!! #theresnothinglikefamily #7thheaven #love #blessed."
She also shared the same photo as her former onscreen dad.
'7th Heaven' ran for an impressive 11 years and was created by Brenda Hampton. Its 200-plus episodes dealt with alcoholism, sexual harassment, teenage angst, and a lot more issues commonly found in real life.
Throughout its run, the '7th Heaven' cast was joined by several other actors and actresses, such as Haylie Duff, Geoff Schultz, and Ashlee Simpson.
Would you like to see a '7th Heaven' TV special or film? Is a remake of the series possible or would the original be hard to replace?
