Samsung will reportedly redesign its GAlaxy S series. This means that consumers and tech enthusiasts should expect Galaxy S6 smartphones to come out on the market with completely different features compared to its previous model in first quarter of 2015.
The details on the supposed Galaxy S6 was first leaked some weeks back. They suggested that the Korean-based tech giant was about to redefine the appearance and user experience of the smartphones. They believe that the S6 is probably their biggest release as of yet, with entirely different features that should regain fan's interest in the Galaxy S line.
According to one report from SanMobile, Samsung is likely to release the new smartphones somewhere in the Q1 2015. They added that the launch should be in time for the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, which is supposed to be in early March.
Moreover, their insiders have confirmed that Samsung will not be changing their naming scheme. Thus, the next flagship smartphone will be called Galaxy S6.
Samsung's flagship smartphone is rumored to have a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels), the same resolution as the Galaxy Note 4, but on a smaller panel. Under the hood is a 64-bit Exynos 7420 chipset or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (system-on-chip). A 16MP or 20MP rear camera is also included, as well as a 5-megapixel front camera for taking those epic selfies. As for file storage, the Galaxy S6 comes with 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. Stay tuned for more details on the matter.
Putting the Galaxy S6 smartphone aside, Samsung was also reported to introduce another smartphone, which is the Galaxy S6 Edge. It is pretty much the same as the standard S6 in many aspects, but this one will be having a curved display similar to that of the Galaxy Note Edge.
