Fans who cannot get enough of the scares in the "Insidious" movie franchise would be thrilled to know that there may be a chance that producers will consider making an "Insidious" TV series in the future.

Speculations and anticipation started to rise when Screenrant shared the wonderful news nine months back. In their interview with Jason Blum, the producer of "The Purge," "The Paranormal Activity" sequels and "Insidious" said that he was open to the possibility of producing an "Insidious" TV series. However, he thinks that as of the moment this may not be possible.

His exact quote in Screenrant explained why. It read:

"I'd like to do that. I don't think you can do that while we're still making movies. Now Leigh [Whannel] is writing the third "Insidious," so we can see how far we can take the series of movies [...] but I believe very strongly that once that kind of comes to a close you can do as series, and I think soon we'll be in place where you can have a series at the same time. Although right now, people are too nervous to have that."

The sequel they were currently invested on is "Insidious Chapter 3," which is slated for release next year. The sequel no longer focuses on the horrific plight of the Lamberts. This time, the spotlight falls on a young teenage girl and her family.

But contrary to what most fans would assume, their tale precedes that of the Lamberts instead of following it. Their horrific experience affords viewers the chance to know more about the eerily uncanny dimension known as "the Further."

As of this writing, Blum has not shared any new details regarding the suggested "Insidious" TV series. Also, neither he nor his people have mentioned anything about the upcoming "Insidious Chapter 3" being the last franchise, which may signal the start of talks for the little screen adaptation.

Fans may just have to wait for word on this when the movie opens on May 29, 2015, reported Coming Soon.net.
