Rupert Sanders was married to Liberty Ross at that time while she was still in relationship with Robert Pattinson. The photos of the actress and the director were published by Us Weekly, which was proof enough of their infidelity.
Liberty Ross decided to file for a divorce after finding out about Kristen Stewart and her husband's affair. Robert Pattinson also ended his relationship with his "Twilight" co-star when he heard about the cheating scandal. The 24-year old actress made a public apology to the British actor who decided to take her back, but later on broke up with her again. It's really hard to be in a relationship when there is no trust anymore.
Rupert Sanders' ex-wife, who remained quiet during the duration of her divorce, finally speaks up now that her marriage is officially over. Liberty Ross opened up to Grazia (via US Weekly) how she felt regarding Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal. The 36-year old model said, "Trusting your gut is always the best thing - no matter what people around you insist you should be doing or saying or thinking. Only you know and once you live in truth your heart is completely free."
Many people were worried about Liberty Ross since she could have been the one greatly hurt in this scandal because she has two children from the director. The British actress revealed to Harper's Bazaar that she's doing great. She said, "Today, I feel happier than I've ever felt, and I'm in such a great place. All of us are: my kids are great, Rupert's amazing, we have all moved on and everyone is doing really well."
That's good to know, but has she forgiven Kristen and Rupert for what they did to her and Robert Pattinson. Ross said, "People need to learn to forgive. I have no problem with anyone involved. I'm completely compassionate, I really am. No life is perfect, we all have our problems and issues and I believe that it's good to be true to who you are."
She added, "I think we can grow from all experiences, even the most tragic, shitty ones where you think you're going to die. Actually, you know, there are ways of growing with them and learning from them and moving past them and accepting them. I just feel so lucky and peaceful with everything in life, and excited and happy."
